For over thirty years, Family Care Specialists (FCS) Medical Group, a high-quality safety net practice in East Los Angeles, has developed programs to increase the number of Latinx physicians in medically underserved communities responded to a critical physician shortage in their community with the creation of MiMentor. This high school-to-residency-to-medical practice pathway currently supports over 10,000 students and was made possible by the organization’s decades-long work to build sustainable partnerships.
